Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: [07/30/2026]

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of  [https://furnitureretailer.co.uk] and the purchase of products from Furniture Retailer

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Us

This website is operated by:Trading Name: Furniture
Email:support@furnitureretailer.com
Telephone: +44 7895 953359
Website: [https://furnitureretailer.co.uk]

2. Eligibility to Place an Order

To place an order through our website, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
  • Provide accurate and complete contact, billing and delivery information; and
  • Be authorised to use the selected payment method.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised activity or incorrect information.

3. Products and Descriptions

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours, specifications and prices are accurate.

However:

  • Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, lighting and the natural characteristics of the material;
  • Natural materials such as wood, marble, ceramic, stone, leather and fabric may contain variations in colour, grain, texture and pattern;
  • Product dimensions are approximate and may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances; and
  • Accessories or decorative items shown in product photographs are not included unless clearly stated in the product description.

These reasonable variations are not considered defects. This does not affect your rights where a product is faulty, materially different from its description or not fit for purpose.

4. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it.

If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. We may offer an alternative product, a revised delivery date or a full refund for the unavailable item.

You are not required to accept an alternative product.

5. Prices

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.

Delivery, assembly or other additional charges will be displayed before you complete your order.

We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to an administrative or technical error, we may cancel the order and refund any payment made. Where reasonably possible, we will give you the option to purchase the product at the correct price.

6. Placing an Order

Before submitting your order, you will have an opportunity to review and correct your order details.

After placing an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A legally binding contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation confirming that we have accepted your order. If we cannot accept your order, we will notify you and refund any payment taken.

Please check your order confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if any information is incorrect.

7. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods displayed during checkout.

You confirm that:

  • You are authorised to use the selected payment method;
  • The payment information supplied is accurate; and
  • Sufficient funds or credit are available to complete the purchase.

Payments may be processed by secure third-party payment providers. We do not normally store complete payment-card details.

Where finance or instalment payment is offered, separate terms from the relevant finance provider may apply.

8. Promotional Codes and Discounts

Promotional codes:

  • Must be entered during checkout;
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Cannot normally be used with another offer unless stated otherwise;
  • May be limited to selected products or customers; and
  • May have an expiry date or minimum-spend requirement.

We may withdraw or cancel a promotion where it has been misused, applied incorrectly or affected by an obvious technical error.

9. Delivery

We deliver to the locations listed on our Delivery & Returns page.

Available delivery options, estimated timescales and applicable charges will be shown during checkout or confirmed before your order is accepted.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you, we will deliver your order without undue delay and normally within 30 days after the contract is formed.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly confirm that a particular date is guaranteed. We will contact you if a significant delay occurs.

10. Delivery Access and Customer Responsibilities

Before ordering, you must check that the product will fit through all relevant:

  • Doors and doorways;
  • Hallways and corridors;
  • Staircases and lifts;
  • Entrances and access routes; and
  • Spaces within the intended room.

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and informing us about parking restrictions, narrow access, stairs, lifts or other circumstances that may affect delivery.

Our delivery team may refuse to move a product through an access point where doing so could reasonably cause injury or damage to the product or property.

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • Nobody is available to accept the delivery;
  • Incorrect delivery information was supplied;
  • Safe and suitable access was not available; or
  • The product does not fit through the available access,

we may charge a reasonable redelivery or return cost. Any charge will reflect the actual or reasonable costs incurred and will not affect your statutory rights.

11. Receiving and Inspecting Your Order

Please inspect the packaging and product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If an item appears damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please contact us promptly at [Customer Service Email], providing:

  • Your order number;
  • A description of the issue; and
  • Clear photographs or video where reasonably possible.

Signing a delivery document does not remove your legal rights regarding faults or damage that were not reasonably apparent at delivery.

12. Ownership and Risk

Responsibility for the product passes to you when it is delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive it.

Ownership of the product passes to you once we have received payment in full.

13. Your Right to Cancel an Online Order

If you are purchasing as a consumer online, you normally have the legal right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

The cancellation period begins when the contract is formed and ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.

For an order containing multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period ends 14 days after receipt of the final item.

To cancel, you must send us a clear statement by email or post before the cancellation period expires.

Email: support@furnitureretailer.com
Postal Address:Kemp house
City Rd
London
EC1V 2NX

You may use the following wording:

I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods:

.
Order number: [order number]
Ordered on/received on: [date]
Customer name: [name]
Customer address: [address]
Date: [date]

14. Returning Cancelled Products

After notifying us of cancellation, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us.

Unless the product is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it.

For large furniture that cannot normally be returned by post, we may offer a collection service. The collection cost will be disclosed before purchase or agreed with you before collection. The estimated collection cost is [insert accurate collection-cost range, for example £50–£100 depending on location and product size].

You must take reasonable care of the products while they are in your possession. You may inspect them in the same way you reasonably could in a shop, but we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by unnecessary handling, use, damage or improper assembly.

Where reasonably possible, products should be returned:

  • Unused and in resalable condition;
  • With all parts, accessories and instructions; and
  • In their original packaging or equally protective packaging.

The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove your cancellation rights, but you remain responsible for packaging the goods securely.

15. Cancellation Exceptions

The statutory cancellation right does not normally apply to:

  • Products made to your specifications;
  • Clearly personalised or bespoke products;
  • Custom sizes, finishes, colours or fabrics specifically selected or manufactured for you; or
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons, once unsealed, where the legal exception applies.

This exception does not affect your rights if a bespoke or personalised product is faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for purpose.

16. Refunds Following Cancellation

If you cancel the entire order within the statutory cancellation period, we will refund:

  • The price paid for the returned products; and
  • The cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where legally required.

Any additional amount paid for premium, express or other enhanced delivery is not refundable beyond the cost of standard delivery.

We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will be processed without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the relevant legal refund date. Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

17. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality;
  • Fit for their intended purpose; and
  • As described.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to:

  • Reject the product and receive a refund;
  • Have the product repaired;
  • Receive a replacement;
  • Receive a price reduction; or
  • Exercise a final right to reject.

Consumers generally have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receiving them. Other legal remedies may continue after that period.

Where the product is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will cover reasonable return or collection costs.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your statutory consumer rights.

18. Assembly and Product Care

Products must be assembled, installed, used and maintained in accordance with the supplied instructions.

Where we provide an assembly service, please inspect the assembled product before our team leaves and notify us of any visible concerns.

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Incorrect assembly by the customer or an unauthorised third party;
  • Failure to follow care or safety instructions;
  • Misuse, neglect or accidental damage;
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs;
  • Normal wear and tear; or
  • Use of a product for a purpose for which it was not designed.

This section does not exclude responsibility for faults already present when the product was supplied.

19. Guarantees and Warranties

Any commercial guarantee or manufacturer’s warranty offered with a product is provided in addition to your statutory rights.

The applicable duration, coverage and exclusions will be stated in the product information or warranty documentation.

A commercial warranty does not replace or reduce your rights under UK consumer law.

20. Our Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Breach of your statutory consumer rights; or
  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

We supply products for domestic and private use unless otherwise agreed. If you use a product for commercial or business purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or business interruption, except where the law does not permit such a limitation.

21. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, transport disruption, industrial action, supply-chain interruption, government action or failure of telecommunications systems.

We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the delay.

Your legal rights, including any right to cancel where performance is significantly delayed, remain unaffected.

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to our business, services or applicable law.

The terms in force when your order is accepted will apply to that order. The latest version will always be displayed on our website with its effective date.

27. Transfer of Rights

We may transfer our rights and obligations under a contract to another organisation, provided this does not reduce your rights.

You may transfer your rights or obligations only with our written agreement, except where applicable law allows otherwise.
